In September 2023 the Peninsula London opened its doors. Situated in Belgravia, and overlooking Hyde Park Corner and Wellington’s Arch, the hotel features a number of restaurants and bars - The Lobby, Brooklands, Canton and Little Blue - as well banqueting and meeting facilities, a café and boutique, spa and wellbeing centre, and screening room.
Our resulting designs all take their inspiration from the hotel’s interior designs, such as the hand painted landscapes on the walls in The Lobby, the cars and planes of Brooklands, and the silks, crockery and ceramics of Canton Blue.
We were commissioned to design the menus and beverage lists for all of the food and beverage facilities, as well as the hotel’s inimitable room service for its 190 rooms and suites. Having spent 30 years waiting for the right site to become available and over £1.1 billion building the hotel facilities and amenities, our brief was to create and produce designs which would capture the essence of each venue; contribute to each guest’s experience; convey the quality and luxuriousness of the hotel; be both distinctive and functional and conform to the Peninsula’s visual identity standards.
